1. so the other night, while coming home from sj, emma looks out the window and sees all the lights from the strip of stores. excitedly, she exclaims, “weh hawm!”

2. so the same night, we were preparing for bedtime, and we were all lying on the bed. i quietly said to emma, “let’s find the rabbits tomorrow.” to my surprise, she responded adorably, saying, “i catch it!” it kept us up for 15 more minutes, amazed with her newest verbal phrase.

i was really excited to receive this in our blockbuster mail, hearing all the hype and verbal allusions, but at the end of the night, perze and i concluded that it really wasn’t that good. it failed to compare to Gladiator, which is one fight movie that i still can appreciate. Now, take away the extremely high contrast and color tone, the elaborate costumes and grotesque characters, and sometimes matrix fight moments, and your story is extremely one dimensional with a third person limited narrator.  the movie didn’t even feel heroic, just choreography. it could’ve been Step Up- full of dance, no substance (and less abs). it was carnal eye candy…but all sugar coating, but no substance. it was just ok…

yep. it’s the hairdid. her coif is gigantic, thanks to makers of fake hair that you can buy for $12 at stores like Rite Aid. i decided to try it on emma and she ended up looking like one of those miniature pageant babies. but doesn’t she look cute nonetheless? all those curls and beehive ponytails really looks somewhat natural since it matched her hair color. hahaha…she’s so cute. my mom had a fun time laughing at the oxymoron-ish (creepy/cute) look.

so i found these awesome galoshes for fall/winter, esp when the weather’s going to bring many obstacles of keeping zem’s shoes clean.  similar to the ‘mary jane’ socks that we bought her from babygap, these are for toddlers, for walking girls.  everyone loved her baby ‘mary jane’ stockings when she was always carried; i’m sure these will also look just as adorable and witty.

so we’ve started using these because zem’s two now and we want her off the bottle soon to preserve her tiny marchesa-esque teeth.

at first, we she audibly rebelled, faking tiny sips.  it’s so hard to get them to understand some motions, esp. zem because she knew how to drink from a cup even before her first bday.  so she thought she had to take sips with anything except her familiar beloved bottles. but she learns quickly, this child of mine.  she learned in one day because i wouldn’t budge in giving her the bottle.  so now, she’s pretty comfortable with it.

we’ll see how she handles it during night time.

so zem absolutely LOVES Pucca these days.  she pronounces it ‘cooca’.  i remember when pucca used to be just a cute cartoon on little accessories for asian girls, but now, it’s on american tv and ‘on demand.’ hahha

pucca is the daughter of a restaurant owner. she has this overwhelming crush on garu, the best ninja (second to pucca).

zem likes her because there are some elements of the cartoon that make her laugh.  and i think it’s because it’s just very colorful and eye catchy.

perze had to make a dvd of all its episodes to satisfy zem’s pucca cravings.
