Evan Almighty 
more palatable than bruce almighty. one- because of steve carrell (which would suffice for any jim carry movie comparison). two- the wanda sykes one liners…which basically were the funny parts (with the exception towards the end, when the writers probably ran out of coffee).
as always, steve carrell does a great job conveying comedy without having to go so over the top.
but what i liked, as cheesy as it may sound, are when the writers actually get it right- the morals… when the words actually weigh more than the movie…
…like when Morgan freeman says, “when someone asks for God to make him more patient, does God just make him patient or give him the opportunity to practice patience…etc” … that’s clear…and great to ponder…
