promise guys. no photoshop.
did anyone else get one?

ps- sorry guys, offer ended today. shoulda woulda coulda blogged about this a bit earlier…hahaha

weird analytics

i check twelvesixteen analytics from time to time and try to understand what people are up to when they visit our site. one interesting fact is that the number 2 source of traffic on our site are referrals by facebook, it probably comprises 30% of all traffic. Another cool thing that it can see is what people are typing in search engines that returned our site. Here are 3 of the 73 search words.

  1. twelvesixteen
  2. bica cheia
  3. cherry blossom branch lights

Of course we have the occasional stalkers that look for marchesa or myself, but the one thing that really made me curious was this particular keyword;

03ff42e822df374528dc7fc8119206745b6e072c853def4350e4509e1c2ebf8f87ebac636100047
b6b49b0dbf41c923dbc55b353bda339d7

looks more like a hashed dna sequence than a keyword. What surprises me even more is that whoever the searcher was, he was able to visit our site using that particular keyword. Seriously, if you use standard 1024 bit RSA decryption on that text sequence, it says "Mulder and Scully wuz here"

the sarah grace project

i’m really proud of one particular make over.  she’s very special to me so it was such a pleasure making her over, getting her pictures taken, and finishing her photos on the computer.  we had a photo shoot because i was commissioned to make her debut invites.

my brother, freddie (who is great at photography) and i collaborated with the shot. [we also teamed up to do our friends' engagement shots (check out their engagement album)]. he’s very good w/ the lighting/perspective.  i did her make up, hair, and clothes, as well as the direction for the shoot.  then afterwards, i went to the computer and photo finished it, which is a bit tedious. luckily, my brother’s photography was already great that i didn’t have to do too many crazy tricks.

so here she is, the before and after:

i really have to give it to her thought, for being so game for my ridiculous directions.  for such an introverted humble person, she ended up taking a fierce picture.  but one thing about sarah, is that she’s beautiful inside and (obviously) out, and that’s rare to find in a lady these days.

a lot of people asked me where we took the picture. can you guess?

"thank You Jesus for the snow"

n637005052_332183_2980when we went to NY, zem saw the snow and excitedly said, "look mamam! it’s snowing!"

then she said something that surprised me because it was from a really long ago conversation we had about the snow.  i once told her that jesus gave us the snow.

so this time, she really remembered that one conversation and added, "thank you Jesus for the snow."

Zem’s new hairdid

February 25, 2008 · Written By Marchesa Ababa  · View Comments

i hardly go to get my hairdid for haircuts cuz most of the time, i end up fixing what they’ve done wrongly.  i play alot with my own hair, and have been known to give some haircuts here and there to some of the youth girls, esp. their bangs.

this goes the same for my daughter.  as my dad used to cut our hair, I’ve gotten used to cutting em’s hair too.  plus it’s good to practice now, so when she gets older, hopefully i’ll only get better. plus, i’ve found it pretty good to save money every two months when normally people go get their hair did.

this time, i gave em straight cut long bangs to frame her face, while the sides are long and wavy:

isn’t she cute? no more hair on her eyes…

watch out for more make-overs…

Introducing Sephin Ng

February 24, 2008 · Written By Marchesa Ababa  · View Comments

n524150849_673300_1581I’m so proud to announce the birth of my 2nd nephew.

Thursday, my sister and kuyasam called in the morning asking me if I wanted to come over.  Now being that the drive is over 2 hours, I was hesitant.  But when they informed me that my sister’s water broke, I quickly arranged the trip and prepared Emma for the weekend.  With Perze having work the next day, it was just Em and I on the road.  That night, after having visited them at the hospital, I took care of Em and her cousin Samsam alone, waiting for the awaited phonecall.

He arrived 2 weeks early on a snowy day in NY.  It was a normal delivery, praise God.  My sister had no complications, and he came out healthy and extremely handsome, with many similar features as his older brother- Samsam [butt chin and butt tongue].  So presenting:

Sephin Chi Hang Ng
5 lbs. 13 oz. | 18.5 inches
February 21, 2008

They named him after my sister Stephanie, since his older brother was named after my brother-in-law, Sam.  So Sam and Seph w/ their parents Sam and Steph. :-D .  So far he’s such a well behaved baby, sleeping and eating well.  And so far, Kuya Samsam has been very caring, calling him ‘Baby’.

n637005052_332174_2456

Thank you God for being w/ my sister during the pregnancy and labor…and for being with baby Sephin…and for keeping kuya sam sane to help support my sister.  Praise God for his beautiful creation.

please send them an encouraging note here: www.samuanie.com
