so you can’t just stick in the iphone to any speakers. you’d need a headset adapter to listen to your music on stereo speakers. for that you’d want to get the belkin headphone adapter to stick in your iphone and connect the regular stereo adapter. sound works great, the item is very sturdy, and belkin’s always a reliable brand.
now i can buy portable speakers.
but that’s another review blog.

Mightier Than Me | m.f.a
i worship you my lord
with all that i am
with all the things that i can do
and all the things i can’t
i worship you my King
with all and everything
with the words i only know
how to offer you
i’m not the smartest man
i fall from where i stand
i fail with who I am
but with that i know
you’re mightier than me
you drown pain like a hungry sea
your love reaches farther still
until the strongest of will breaks down
you change hearts everyday
and your grace never changes
it stays the same and rearranges
someone, someone like me.
[pardon the recording. it's a song in progress]

many times we tell others we’re praying for them to fix themselves, as if we’re doing them the favor and being the holy party, and we shift the blame without looking first that we may be wrong. many times, we have to be honest with ourselves for change. i sometimes think that’s the hardest step- being honest w/ ourselves that we are wrong.
when we start thinking that satan doesn’t have any temptation over us and instead thinks it upon other people, there’s already looming danger with the thought of impermeability. with every opportunity, we cannot be bloated with our will.
we can’t make people surrender to God, but we are responsible for our own.
the weekend was nice.
we ended up attending the musical of one of our youths, who attends CAPA in Philly. her involvement consisted of being in the main cast, as the younger sister of Fiddler on the Roof, one of my favorite musicals. in the past, she’s been asking me to come to her concerts and musicals, but having a baby/toddler is a little constricting when it comes to nightly schedules/outings. this time, she had a bigger part, so she really wanted us to come see her perform, so we made it a point to attend. it ended up being a fun night for perze and i, since we’re fans of the musical anyway. so congrats tey!
today was enjoyable, having been able to attend the sermon. usually, i would be downstairs taking care of the toddlers, but with the newly created volunteer schedule, someone else took care of zem. she had much initial hesitance and resistance, but she pulled through and stayed downstairs under someone else’s care, and i was able to hear the sermon about the crucifixion and the medical aspects surrounding Christ’s death, prior his resurrection.
youth was nice since i got to attend the bible study, under rogie. they’re studying the book of samuel, specifically the ark of the covenant during that time. afterwards, as usual, we just get to chill and talk about life stuff and events. i miss this since the past sundays, i’ve been helping out w/ the choir for the upcoming easter cantata.
i’m really impressed w/ these young people. they continue to really stay committed to the youth group, the studies, and the activities, even though they’re so busy w/ their schedules and other ministries. we’ve really gotten to the point where they’re consistent w/ their involvement and attendance.
well that was the weekend. i’ll blog next time about my nephew who we visited last week.
i want to write this down before i forget it, which is many times the case.
today, i rearranged zem’s room all by myself since perze was at work. it was a pretty big feat, but zem was with me, asking me questions as to what i was endeavoring. when i finally finished, i lied down on the sofa, and she quiet sat with me, seemingly fatigued from watching me sweat. it was a quiet moment…the moments that usually fade in and fade out without much pomp or blare, but we were facing the window that framed the setting sunshine.
she said, "look mamam. the sun outside."
i said, "yes, baby, the sun is outside."
she said, " it’s so pretty mamam."
she added, "thank you Jesus, for outside."
those are the moments you wished you could videotape with your eyes and upload onto your computer to show the people you love, including her in twenty years. i thought about one particular question that they ask you on that show, Actor’s Studio, "what is your favorite word?" out of the top drawer of favorite words like "grace," "love," "Jesus," "mahal," "believe," is the word, "mama." i’ve gained such an appreciation for that word, for that idea, and its manifested role. it’s such a gift of grace…to have moments like the one i mentioned. and it’s really yours to own and keep. it’s personal and quiet…
thank you jesus, for your moments of quiet grace.
one of the weddings i’m participating in asked me for some help w/ their website, which they subscribed from Wedding Tracker. i tweaked it a little here and there, but it turned out to be really nice, so without telling the bride and groom, i emailed a few people and this is the result after a month of waiting:
their wedding website is one of the featured sites on their service, out of numbers of couples.
you can see their website here: www.rogieandleila.com
i love great music. and let’s face it, i also love hymns. so you add them, multiply, carry the two and subtract the square root and get:

crazy huh? i was actually hoping they’d come out with a cover for the iphone, cuz then my friends, you’d see me rocking the hymnal cover. It’s leather material designed to case your iPod or any device of the same dimensions. what do you think? worthy or blasphemous?
