I love capturing moments like this. Fortunately, my loving husband thought so too and caught it before I finished the pancakes and Emma washed her cups. I know soon enough, she’ll start tire of the novelty and turn to some new distraction like listening to American Pop like Justin Timberlake. *sigh….But at least for now, she LOVES being with Mamam and Tatay.
i could have sworn that i’ve seen this movie before…oh wait, i have. it was called “Never Been Kissed.”
the story line was in such parallel dimensions that if you played the movies simultaneously, both couples end up kissing right at the same time at the end of the movie.
ok. ok. not that exactly…but haven’t we seen this already? someone falls for the person who is their target subject for the news article of the year, and decides to abort the initial plan, thus sacrificing their career advancement for true love, only to realize that the story is way to good not to be printed?
i mean, katherine heigl is typically the subtle comical force, but the plot line just didn’t pull enough originality. i also must have burped at one part cause i just didn’t understand how their relationship really blossomed into love, even though by the trailers alone, you knew she’d eventually end up dating an x-Men. but there were some good parts worthy enough for this to be some blockbuster night.
Heartfelt is right. This was a great cast, no lie, but without Steve Carell, it probably wouldn’t have been as interesting. Steve Carell definitely has this surrounding subtle wit about him that makes you relate and believe him. The movie itself is entertaining, not just because of the kickpuet soundtrack of Sondre Lerche, but because of the subtle plot and … subplots. Great movie.
Ps. Buy the soundtrack. No lie.

what they should’ve done was use the golden compass to point them to a better ending.
you know what they should’ve done? they should’ve used the golden compass to direct them to a logician, because if that ice bear became king of like a thousand bears, then why didn’t at least 300 bears go to war like the Spartans?and the author of this movie obviously had psychological issues w/ his/her mother, because in the end, that little girl let her open a can of three levels of wrong.
and if i were that girl, i would’ve used the compass to point me towards Aslan, who most likely lived two miles west, where there were more talking animals.
and lastly, i would’ve used the golden compass to point me to the person who owes me money back from spending on that movie.
Just wanted to say happy graduation to Ninong Paul Tenorio.
Last weekend, he graduated from Temple U. w/ his doctorate in Physical Therapy. In his own words, he humbly says nothing’s really changed except for the title, but we know the hard work he’s put into all those years of education so he’ll be most prepared for what he’s doing in his workplace. We’re duper proud of him! What I admire most in his achievement is his humble attitude. Congrats Paul.
I remember when we were still in Rutgers and he’d share his occupational dreams, seeming almost hopeless with the arduous years ahead. But retrospectively, we can now laugh over the dramatic moments of neilson.
Last weekend, we indulged in the annual Tenorio Crabfest. His family, in honor of the graduate, bought bushels of crabs for us to feast on, and feast we did….ok…inhaled it. Sometimes Perze gets his cholesterol down so he can eat in T’s Crabfest. Some FICers came over like Chermjay and Lenanne (think Tomkat). So as you know, that meant belly laughs as a side order w/ the crabs.
We promised Paul that we’d even make T’shirts that said, “Tenorio Has Crabs. Come Over.” We’d also make STD cards…. you know- Save the Date. hahaha. OMG. good project. no lie.
T’s niece, Ella, who happens to be Emma’s age, also did us a favor and kept Em company, so we were free to relax and eat. At the end of the night, they performed a duet of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star together- in key of G and key of F#minor. Of course, they had Chermaine be their opening act.
So, we just want to say, congrats

A BASIC Letter:
BASIC was started 2001, an affiliated project of SJBCI’s Young Believers, and a personal vision for today’s youth.
This year, 2008, the event is spearheaded by one of the YB’s, Genesis, assisted by a fellow YB, Sarah. God has really impressed in their hearts this great task of coordinating an important event that is not only educational, but one that holds great potential for evangelism to today’s youth, specifically targeting the collegiate arena.
A writer and apologist, Mike Lacona, the author of the award winning book, “The Case of the Resurrection Jesus,” is our guest speaker this year. We are also blessed with two speakers from the Pennsylvania-South Jersey Baptist Convention, Rev. Stan Williams and Brian Musser. The venue will take place in the Grand Ballroom at Rowan University, hoping to attract many collegiate students, as well as accommodate a greater number of people.
This task requires a lot of prayers for so many things- our YB, the speakers, the praise leaders, and esp. the visitors. We ask that you partner with us in our endeavor and continue to uphold this event in your prayers.
We also open our YB alumni (& friends/supporters/church group) to help us financially, in donating whatever you desire to give. 
This event is partially funded by the YB budget, but seeks to ask for help because of the limited funds for the rest of the year’s activities. The budget for BASIC is one we can’t shoulder alone, so we are reaching out to those who want to volunteer financial gifts. At the end of the BASIC event, you’ll be given an update as to the details of the program as our appreciation and reminder of your generosity.
What God has started in the YB, He’s still powerfully continuing in this generation’s YB, and just be assured that your help really makes an impact. As one of their advisors, I personally am SO proud of how they’re serving and working for God’s glory. Praise God for the things He’s doing in the group that you started/continued.

One of the memories I keep for her.
Em’s REALLY fast w/ learning new songs, so I try to teach her the songs I want her to grow up with. One of my favorite hymns is Amazing Grace, so one night, while tucking her in for bed, I asked her to listen to a song. Curiously, she listened to the first verse. To my surprised amazement, she said, “sad song mamam,” and I saw that slow progression of her lip quivering into a full blown cry.
I honestly never thought a 2′10 month old can be emotionally moved by a song, but true enough, my little daughter cried at first hearing Amazing Grace.
“Amazing Grace.
How sweet the sound.
That saved a wretch like me.
I was once lost.
But now I’m found.
Was blind,
But now I see.”
It might have been the melody; it might have been her understanding that someone was lost and blind, but then found and was given sight. Nonetheless, it warmed my heart that something in the song caused her to feel strongly.
Now, every night since then, she specifically asks me to sing the “sad song.” And tonight, without my incitement, she tried to sing it with me.
